Research and Publication Ethics
International Journal of Economic and Environmental Geology follows the ethical guidelines for publication outlined by the COPE ( Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors and the Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers) as well as Higher Education Commission of Pakistan . In view of that, the authors, the reviewers, and the editors are expected to follow the best-practice guidelines.
The publication of a research article in a peer reviewed journal is a significant contribution to the development and advancement of knowledge. It is a direct result of quality of work of the authors and their supporting institutions. Peer reviewed articles support and contain scientific research conducted according to the universally accepted ethical agenda to the research community. Thus, it is necessary to agree upon standards of ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing: author, journal, peer reviewer and the publisher.
Submission of an article implies that the research work has not been published earlier and nor it is under consideration for publication elsewhere in English or any other language. For the policies on the research and publication ethics, Guidelines on good publication (https://publicationethics.org/guidance/Guidelines) can be applied.
When IJEEG faces suspected cases of research and publication misconduct such as duplicate publication, plagiarism, fraudulent or fabricated data, changes in the authorship, disclosure of conflicts of interest or ethical problem with a submitted manuscript, the decision will be taken by the Editor-in-Chief after discussing and consulting with the editorial board members.
