Author Guidelines
Introduction
International Journal of Economic and Environmental Geology (IJEEG) is the official journal of the Society of Economic Geologists and Mineral Technologists (SEGMITE) that publishes original research articles, communications, and reviews in the broadly covered areas of geology applied to the fields of Resource and Environmental Geology.
Types of Article
International Journal of Economic and Environmental Geology welcomes contributions in the following forms within the scope of the journal.
- Research Article: Papers based on original research work
- Short Communication: Brief publication based on data, inadequate for full paper
- Review Paper: Comprehensive and updated overview on a research theme/topic
Submission Declaration
Authors should declare that the article being submitted to IJEEG is based on original work, and has not been submitted to any other journal for publication, and that if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere in English or any other language.

Suggested Reviewers
Authors may suggest names of one or two potential reviewers along with manuscript submission. However, the editor has the right to assign reviewers other than those suggested by the author.

After Acceptance
Proof Correction: The corresponding author will receive email for the corrections of the article proof. It is to ensure that all correction are sent back to us within 48 hours. Please check the whole text and the references carefully before replying as proof reading is solely the responsibility of author.
Authorship of Paper
The authorship should be limited to the researchers who made significant contributed to the research and writing process. Author’s major contribution should be in the areas of:
- Substantial contribution to the conception or design of the work
- Acquisition and interpretation of field and laboratory data
- Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content
- Final approval of the version to be published
- Agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
- Other contributors should be thanked in the acknowledgment.
- All authors have an obligation to cooperate with journal editors promptly to point out correction of errors in their published articles.
Research Misconduct
- In case of any research including falsification, fabrication, plagiarism, and inappropriate authorship found in a submitted manuscript will be investigated by the Ethics committee. The committee consisting of three members including the editorial-in-chief as the chair and two editorial board members. The ethics committee after completing fair investigation of the matter will recommend to update, connect or retract the contents, if such actions are required.
- As per COPE retraction guidelines, IJEEG will consider retraction a publication, if there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to major error (miscalculation or experimental error), fabrication or falsification (image manipulation) or the manuscript constitutes plagiarism or scientific misconduct and data manipulation by artificial intelligence.
- The findings have previously been published elsewhere without proper attribution to previous sources of disclosure to the editor, permission to republish or justification (i.e. cases of redundant publication).
- It contains material or data without authorization for use.
- Copyright has been infringed or there is some other serious legal issue.
Article Processing Charges
All research articles published in International Journal of Economic and Environmental Geology are open access, freely available on journal’s website and Google Scholar with Cross Ref DOI, immediately upon publication.
The Article Processing Charges (APC) covers all publishing services, including manuscript solicitation, formatting, English editing, peer-reviewing, production, hosting, and indexing/abstracting liaison. The APC is due once the manuscript is editorially accepted. It must be paid by the author or their funding institution/employer. Partial APC waivers are available for special cases upon request.
Article Processing Charges for each paper accepted for publication in International Journal and Economic Geology are: Foreign Authors = USD 70 and for Pakistanis: PKR 20, 000/-

Financial Disclosure Policy
- All sources of funding should be declared by the author in the acknowledgement.
- Author must acknowledge the fields and laboratory facilities provided by any institutes or organization.
